Lecture on the topic: Women and girls education - as the basis for their achievements in science
Education plays a key role in women's achievements in science in Tajikistan, as in many other countries. In recent decades, the government of Tajikistan has been actively focusing on the development of education, including for women and girls. This contributes to increasing the number of women pursuing higher education and, as a result, increasing their participation in scientific research and achievements.
Education gives women and girls the opportunity to develop their talents, knowledge and skills, which are the basis for success in science. Increasing the level of education among women also helps to increase their representation in academia, scientific institutions and government.
However, despite progress in this area, the challenge remains in achieving full equality in education and science. It is important to continue to improve women's access to education, create conditions for their active participation in scientific research, and combat sociocultural and structural barriers that may hinder their achievements in science.
On April 30, 2024, as part of a special course for Women Leaders, initiated by the President of National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Khushvakhtzoda Kobiljon Khushvakht, a lecture was held on the topic: Women and girls education - as the basis for their achievements in science. The speaker was Sayfieva Zarina.
In her lecture, Zarina Sayfieva noted such key aspects as the importance of education, potential development, overcoming stereotypes, support and attention.
Education plays a critical role in the lives of women and girls, especially in the context of scientific achievements. This not only gives them knowledge and skills, but also increases their self-confidence and confidence in their own abilities.
Women and girls have enormous potential in scientific fields, and education is the key to unlocking this potential. Supporting their education and scientific interests contributes to the development of scientific thought and innovation in society.
Existing sociocultural stereotypes may limit women's opportunities in science. Education plays an important role in overcoming these stereotypes, helping women and girls to become confident and successful in scientific careers.
Summing up the issues discussed, Zarina Sayfieva emphasized how important it is to provide women and girls with support and attention from society, family, and educational institutions so that they can successfully develop in their scientific career.
