On April 18, 2024, as part of the activities of WiN Tajikistan to encourage the interest to science among young people, the second stage of the Essay Competition on the topic “The contribution of women scientists of Tajikistan to the development of world science”, was held among 2nd and 3rd year students of universities of the Republic Tajikistan.

Students of the Tajik National University, Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S.Osimi, Technological University of Tajikistan, branch of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Dushanbe and the Russian-Tajik Slavonic University took part in the competition.

Sayfieva Zarina, President of WiN Tajikistan, in her welcoming speech has noted: “This competition is a unique opportunity to highlight the importance of the role of women scientists in scientific progress and draw attention to their contribution to various fields of knowledge. Your participation will not only help highlight the importance of women's contribution to the development of world science, but will also inspire others to new achievements. We wish you all inspiring creativity and successful performances! Let your essays become a vivid reflection of your dedication to science, your erudition and your talent."

Then Abdulaeva Saodat Khakimovna, scientific secretary of the Certification Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan of NAST, chairman of the competition jury, announced the conditions of competition. 

The purpose of the competition is to draw attention to the importance of women's contributions to scientific discoveries, research and innovation.

The competition participants prepared presentations on topic of their essays, studying in detail interesting facts from the biographies of outstanding women scientists of Tajikistan. 

According to the results of the competition, first place was taken by a student of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Dushanbe - Safarova Farakhnoz, second place was taken by a student of Russian-Tajik Slavonic University - Juraeva Madina, third place was taken by a student of Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi - Samadova Nozanin. A diploma for “Depth of Research” was received by a student of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Dushanbe - Elizaveta Siroshenko, and a diploma “For creativity of research” was received by a student of Tajik National University - Shaffieva Muharrama.

All participants of the competition were awarded diplomas, certificates of participation and memorable gifts.
