29 March 2024, within the framework of the Strategy of countering terrorism and extremism in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025 years in the conference hall of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, with the participation of the Youth Association "Atom" of the CBRN Safety and Security Agency held a round table on "Information security, extremist and terrorist organizations on the Internet: prevention and response".

During the meeting, it was stressed that the purpose of countering extremism and terrorism is to protect the foundations of the constitutional system, territorial integrity of the state, law and order, public security, protection of the population, human rights and liberties from extremist and terrorist threats.

It was also pointed out that the implementation of organizational, legal, preventive and law enforcement measures is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of government authorities, strengthening their cooperation with civil society institutions and international organizations in order to reduce, mitigate and decrease the threat of terrorism, as well as its strengthening helps to protect fundamental human rights and freedoms and ensure the rule of law.
