Since gaining state Independence, the Republic of Tajikistan, under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, has increased the status of women, and, paying special attention to this issue, appreciated the important role of women in the development of all spheres of society.

In this direction, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has adopted a number of documents, including:

- National strategy for enhancing the role of women in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2030.

- State program for the education, selection and placement of leadership personnel from among gifted women and girls for 2023-2030.

- Concept of family development in the Republic of Tajikistan. Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 801 of December 30, 2015.

- Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 3, 1999 No. 5 “On increasing the role of women in society.”

Today, Tajik women are responding to these issues and making valuable contribution to the progress of society. It is grateful that the leader of the nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, in his annual messages to the Majlisi Oli, made the role of women a priority of state policy and comfortable environment for the education and development of this segment of society.

As the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, said in his message to the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 28, 2023: “In the era of independence, we gradually increased the status of women in society and created suitable conditions for working. The role of women is effective in maintaining peace and stability, protecting national and cultural values, instilling in children a sense of patriotism, national pride, humanity and responsibility, as well as in preventing undesirable social factors.”

In this regard, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan has created comfortable environment for the active participation of women in science, strengthening knowledge and developing their special skills.

Today, women of the Agency actively work in various positions, and at the same time, their contribution to the training of specialists in the field of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear safety and security is significant. Along with their main tasks, they actively participate in public affairs. Taking into account their activities, on March 8, 2020, on the initiative of Director of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Ilhom Mirsaidzoda, the National chapter “Women in Nuclear Tajikistan” was created under the Agency, the purpose of which is to improve the situation of women not only at the national but also at the international level, as well as to attract young specialists in this area.

Members of WiN Tajikistan under the CBRN Safety and Security Agency of NAST actively participate in various events to improve their knowledge and skills and present their activities in NIAT “Khovar”, television “Tajikistan”, TV channels “Safina”, “Science and Nature” and others mass media.
