Traveling outside the home country requires additional safety and security measures. Nigora Nafizovna spoke about several basic safety principles that should be taken into account, first of all:
- preparation and planning: carefully plan your trip, study local customs, laws and regulations, as well as safety information in the country you are going to visit.
- embassies and consulates: find out in advance and save the address and telephone number of the nearest consulate or embassy. This will help to have contact in case of emergency.
- medical insurance: purchase medical insurance that covers medical expenses abroad, including evacuation if necessary.
- consultation with a doctor: before traveling, you must consult with a doctor and make sure that all necessary vaccinations have been received.
- documents and finances: Important documents such as passports and visas should be copied and kept separately from the originals. It is also necessary to ensure financial security by using hotel safes and not carrying large amounts of money with you.
- communication: It is necessary to maintain contact with someone at home, regularly communicating your whereabouts and plans.
- area: study the area and try to avoid dangerous areas or situations.
- personal safety: be careful with displaying expensive items and avoid situations that could provoke criminals.
- transport: use only official, reliable transport. Pay attention to safety while traveling.
