Initiative of the Youth Association "Atom" of the CBRN SSA in the secondary school No. 55 in Dushanbe
By order and constant, comprehensive support of the Founder of National Peace and Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the implementation of the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan from August 31, 2023 № 407 on the implementation of the UN General Assembly resolution on the declaration of "2025 - International Year of Glacier Protection", also in order to increase the contribution of women in society, the members of the association "Glaciers research by Women" of the State Scientific Institution «Center for Research of Glaciers of the National Academy of Sciences of the Tajikistan» together with the Youth Association "Atom" of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Safety and l Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the members of the association " Glaciers research by Women " of the Center for Glacier Studies together with the youth association "Atom" of the Agency for Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear Safety of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, on February 28, 2024 held an open lesson for pupils of grades 6-11 in the secondary school No. 55 in Dushanbe.
At the beginning of the open lesson, Dilorom Kayumova, Leader of the association “Women research by woman”, introduced the speakers to the schoolchildren. Then the scientific officers of the Center spoke on the topics "Implementation of the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on declaring 2025 the International Year of Glacier Protection" and "Scientific and expeditionary works in glaciers of Tajikistan".
The Head of the Youth Association "Atom" of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan provided information on the importance of understanding radiation in human life, as well as an assessment of the radiation impact of drinking water originating from glaciers.
At the end of the open lesson, the schoolchildren were invited to prepare essays, make videos and present them at the upcoming event dedicated to the "International Day of Glacier Protection - March 21", which will be held on March 14, 2024 in the Conference Hall of the Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
