On 22 February 2024, on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Regional Training Centre of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan was held a sporting event with the participation of youth of the institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

To celebrate at a high level the day of establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, which is annually celebrated on 23 February throughout the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as to increase the involvement of youth in sport, a public health promotion among the youth of the institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan was conducted and sports competitions were held.

The following institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan took part in this sporting event, namely the Institute of Astrophysics, the State Scientific-Experimental and Production Institution, the Institute of Chemistry named after V.I. Nikitin, the Institute of Mathematics named after A. Juraev, the Institute of Geology, Earthquake Engineering and Seismology, the Glacier Research Centre and the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security NAST.

At the event, the youth competed in the following sports such as pull-ups, tug of war, ping-pong, push-ups and other physical strength exercises.

As a result, the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of NAST was awarded first place in the sporting event, the Institute of Chemistry named after V.I. Nikitin of NAST - awarded second place and the Centre for Glacier Studies of NAST - awarded third place. 

At the closing, the referees presented the winners and participants of the competition with memorable gifts.
