International forum-dialogue “Women of Kazakhstan and Russia: the energy of cooperation for the sustainable development of high-tech industries”
On November 27, 2023, in Astana, the Association “Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan” and the Foundation for the Support and Development of Women’s Initiatives “Uniting Women in the Nuclear Industry” with the support of State Corporation “Rosatom” held the International Forum-Dialogue “Women of Kazakhstan and Russia: Energy of Cooperation for Sustainable development of high-tech industries."
Muminova Mehrangez, press secretary of WiN Tajikistan, scientific secretary of CBRN Safety and Security Agency of NAST, spoke as a speaker at the panel session “International Open Dialogue of Women in the Nuclear Industry.” In her speech, Muminova Mehrangez noted the importance of supporting women's initiatives in the nuclear and radiation field and attracting the younger generation to this area.
The forum-dialogue brought together experts from high-tech industries, including the nuclear industry: representatives of the Department of Nuclear Energy and Industry of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan, the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the KAZENERGY Association, the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, UzAtom, WiN Global Chapters from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, University of Tunis El Manar (International Council for the Support and Development of Women in Industry and Technology), experts from Rosatom State Corporation, JSC OKB Gidropress, JSC Atomenergoproekt.
During the event, participants presented best practices for creating a comfortable environment for the professional development of women professionals, stimulating scientific activity, attracting the younger generation to STEM professions, as well as developing international dialogue in the scientific and technical field. The event became a platform for the exchange of experience between women experts in the nuclear and high-tech international communities on the use of innovative and technological developments to achieve sustainable development goals, including nuclear technologies.
