On December 1, 2023, within the framework of the activities of WiN Tajikistan, Nigora Abidzhanova, Head of the Branch/Country Representative of Tajikistan ICAP Global Health, Ph.D., acted as a speaker at a seminar on the topic “What is a leadership?”
Any person can be a leader, regardless of position; it is not need to become a manager to do this. Leadership skills are necessary for both managers and ordinary employees.
As Nigora noted, the leadership is the ability to inspire, captivate by example, motivate, find a common language, and take initiative and responsibility. The qualities of a leader are the so-called soft skills: charisma, empathy, the ability to listen and hear, creativity, responsibility, learning ability and the ability to transfer one’s knowledge, as well as the art of noticing talent in others and finding application for it, willingness to experiment and take risks and other similar qualities. Natural leaders have qualities that allow them to strengthen each individual on the team and the group as a whole. They are interested in helping their team members develop and grow.
Nigora Abidzhanova, with the help of simple tasks, showed how you can identify leaders in a group, as well as how, using certain questions, you can determine the leader and boss.
