On December 27, 2023, an annual meeting of WiN Tajikistan members took place devoted to summing up the results of the year.
Director of Chemical, Biological Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Doctor of Technical Sciences - Ilhom Mirsaidzoda highly appreciated the activities and achievements of the National Chapter WiN Tajikistan. “I am proud that the National Chapter WiN Tajikistan is actively developing and this is recognition of importance of the role of women in the field of CBRN safety and security. Our community includes women who demonstrate outstanding professional skills, leadership and dedication. Women play a key role in science and technology - from research and engineering to safety and regulation. Women have undeniable potential and talent that needs to be developed and supported. They are capable of overcoming any obstacles and achieving success in science, subject to equal opportunities and fair access to resources, and I, as the head of the CBRN Safety and Security Agency, am always ready to contribute in every possible way to this process,” emphasized in his speech the Director of CBRN Safety and Security Agency of NAST.
“Women in science are a huge force! Women made a large number of scientific discoveries, especially in the field of chemistry and physics. I can give several examples of outstanding women scientists, Nobel laureates - Marie and Irene Curie, who did a lot for the development of nuclear physics. Marie Curie became the first female laureate and remained the only one until 1935, when the Nobel Prize awarded her daughter Irene. Women really play a huge role in science and I am pleased to see the development of the WiN Tajikistan,” noted Mirsaidov Ulmas Mirsaidovich - Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
Sayfieva Zarina – the President of National Chapter WiN Tajikistan, made a report on the activities of the chapter for 2023.
At the end of the meeting, the most active members were awarded with certificates of gratitude and memorable gifts.
