An official ceremony for transferring the Ultrasound unit to the Regional Oncology Hospital of Kulob
On 17 November, an official ceremony for transferring the Ultrasound diagnostic to the Regional Oncology Hospital in Kulob in the framework of the implementation of the National Project TAD6009 - "Improving diagnostic capabilities at the Kulob Regional Oncology Hospital" on behalf of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was conducted.
Deputy Director Dr. Matin Akhmedov and Mr. Olimjon AZIZOV - head of the International Relations and Public Relations Department of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of NAST as National Liaison Assistants on behalf of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) handed over Ultrasound diagnostic unit to Dr. Navruzjon Kholmatov - Head of the Regional Oncology Centre in Kulob.
The purpose of the mentioned project is the timely detection and prevention of various oncological diseases in the region.
It should be noted that the implementation of such projects will further improve the level and quality of diagnostic and treatment services for oncological diseases in the region and its surrounding areas.
In the future years, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) intends to procure other X-ray diagnostic and radiotherapy equipment as wellas to train hospital staff of the Regional Oncology Hospital of Kulob as part of this national project.
