Director of the CBRN Safety and Security Agency of NAST became the winner of the Environmental Contest
20 January 2023 in Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan the results of the republican contests of the best materials on the topics "Environmental Education" and "Adaptation to Climate Change" were summed up, and the winners were also determined.
In order to promote the solution of environmental problems, as well as to attract scientists and specialists, journalists, civil society, experts, students, pupils of educational and pre-school institutions, to implement the state policy in the field of environmental protection, to raise environmental awareness of the population Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Committee on Environmental Protection of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan announced republican contests of the best materials on the topics "Environmental Awareness" and "Adaptation to Climate Change".
57 applicants from all cities and districts of the Republic of Tajikistan submitted 115 materials to the Republican Contest Commission of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on the topic "Environmental Education".
Among the participants of the contest were 26 professional journalists, 18 scientists from various fields, including 2 doctors of sciences and 9 candidates of sciences, 6 applicants and postgraduates, 5 masters and students of higher education institutions, 6 teachers of general education institutions and gymnasiums, 8 students of general education institutions, gymnasiums and educational institutions for talented pupils.
Thus, in the nomination "Adaptation to Climate Change" the first place with the first degree diploma and a memorable souvenir were awarded to Hasan Asoev, an expert on environmental issues, employee of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, for the publication of a book (monograph) entitled "Rogun HPP - an example of "green" economy of the region".
The second place with a diploma of II degree and memorable souvenir was awarded to Ilhom Mirsaidzoda, Director of the Agency of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, to a specialist in ensuring chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear safety and security, Doctor of Technical Sciences, for his scientific works, normative documents and a number of articles on ensuring environmental safety.
Marziya Saidzoda, journalist, head of the department of the National News Agency of Tajikistan "Khovar" for a series of articles and reports in the field of nature protection and ecology, was also awarded second place, a diploma of II degree and memorable souvenirs.
Nomvar Kurbonov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Deputy Director for Science and Education of the Institute of Water Resources, Hydropower and Ecology of NAST for the cycle of works and articles on adaptation, climate change and environmental problems, was awarded the second place with a diploma of II degree and memorable souvenirs.
The third place with a diploma of III degree and memorable souvenirs was awarded to Farzona Odinaeva, editor of Tajikistan Television, for her reports and programmes on the topic of climate change , and Mirzokodir Kodirzoda, Deputy Head of the National Legislation Centre of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, for a series of works and articles in the field of environmental protection and ecology.
The third place with a diploma of III degree and memorable souvenirs was awarded to a journalist, chief specialist of the official publication of the Republic of Tajikistan - newspaper "Jumhuriyat" for a series of reports and articles on climate change adaptation and environmental education by Okhistamokh Gulberdiyeva and others.
At the grand ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Kodiri Kosim, Chairman of the Environmental Commission of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Muhammadrahim Yusufi presented the winners of the competition with memorable souvenirs.
In the nomination "Environmental Education" the first place with a diploma of the first degree and a souvenir was awarded to Amrohon Tojov, journalist, first deputy director of "Television "Tajikistan" Committee on Television and Radio under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Amrokhon Tojov for a series of television programmes on environmental education and climate issues.
The second place with the diploma of II degree and memorable souvenirs was awarded to the journalist, editor of the department of primary and secondary vocational schools of the newspaper "Omuzgor" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Khotam Khomidov (Khotami Khomid) for a series of articles on the topic of environmental education.
The second place with the diploma of II degree and memorable souvenirs was awarded to Gulrukhsor Tilloi, environmental journalist, head of the Environmental Information Centre of the Committee for Environmental Protection of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, for TV programmes and the cycle of "Environmental News" on "Safina Television".
Bokimuhammad Bokizoda, head of the environmental protection sector in Ayni district of Sughd province, was awarded second place, a II degree diploma and memorable souvenirs for a series of articles on environmental education.
Along with this, the third place with a diploma of III degree and memorable souvenirs was awarded to Kamol Kurboniyon, a journalist, Excellent Press of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Department of Translation of the Executive Office of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, for his essay on "Environmental Education".
In addition, the third place with a diploma of III degree and souvenirs was awarded to Oimnisso Shahsufbekova, a biology teacher, PhD in Biology, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Medical Biology with Genetic Basis of the Abuali Ibni Sino Tajik State Medical University, for a series of articles on environmental education and others.
In total, 115 participants of the competition were awarded with memorable presents.
