As part of implementation of National Action Plan of the Republic of Tajikistan under UN Security Council Resolution 1540 on September 12, 2023, an official ceremony of transferring Toyota Hilux cars to the State Committee of National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan took place.

Ilhom Mirsaidzoda, Director of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency, as a national coordinator, handed over vehicles to representatives of the State Committee of National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan on behalf of the US Department of Energy.

This technical assistance is provided as part of the Green Border Security Project, which aims to strengthen the law enforcement infrastructure of the Republic of Tajikistan along the border with Afghanistan.

As part of the implementation of this project, it is planned to transfer special clothing, body armor, equipment for conducting operations in mountainous areas, special protective uniforms for demining, night vision devices, binoculars, monoculars, transceivers (radios), special military vehicles, motor vehicles, minibuses with sensitive equipment to detect and prevent the illegal traffic of nuclear and radioactive materials and a number of other equipment.
