Training course on maintenance and repair of mobile detection systems and equipment for detection of illicit trafficking of nuclear and other radioactive materials took place in Nuclear and radiation safety agency under Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan from 13 to 17 January 2014.

Training course was intended for representatives of Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Nuclear and radiation safety agency under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan. Training course was implemented within the framework of Joint Action Plan between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on Combating Smuggling of Nuclear and Radioactive Materials signed on 18.12.2011.
