8 February 2022, an official ceremony was held for the handover of military supplies to the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan within the framework of the National action plan of the Republic of Tajikistan on the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 1540.

Director of the Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear Safety and Security Agency Dr. Ilhom MIRSAIDZODA, as national focal point, handed over military supplies for use by Tajikistan's State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan on behalf of the US Department of Energy.

This technical support is provided under the Green Border Security Project, which aims to strengthen Tajikistan's law enforcement infrastructure along the border with Afghanistan.

As part of this project, it is planned to hand over special clothing, flak jackets, equipment for operations in mountainous terrain, special protective uniforms for mine clearance, night vision equipment, binoculars, monocular, transceivers, special military vehicles, vans equipped with radiation detection equipment for illegal trafficking of nuclear and radioactive materials, and others.
