The Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency held a meeting with European Commission representatives from October 18 to 19, 2011. 

Representatives of the following ministries and authorities attended the meeting:

- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan;

- Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan;

- General Directorate of Border Troops under the State Committee on National Security;

- Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency.

During the meeting, the participants discussed a joint project on "Equipping borders with portal monitors”. Project goals, scope, and roles of various ministries and authorities were covered as well. The terms of reference were developed and approved by all ministries, and approval was signed.
